Why Are We Running?

“In 2017, I ran for school board because I wanted to serve the community by ensuring a continued high quality education for all Radnor children. In my four years on the board, I’ve learned the intricacies of school district operations and realize that stability on the board provides much needed support to the administration, especially as they navigate these challenging times. I’m especially eager to finish the work I’ve long championed on the Radnor High School Accessibility and Wellness Infrastructure project at Radnor High School and have guided through my years on the project’s steering committee and in leadership on the Facilities Committee.”

“I am running for school board because I think it is critical to have board members with experience and institutional knowledge. I am in the unique position to bring years of experience as an education professional and the longest serving board member (12 years of experience on the board) to make smart, innovative, and fiscally sound decisions for the future of our community. I am committed to achieving the best educational outcome for all students at the best price to the tax payer. The best educational outcomes are achieved by respectfully listening to all stakeholders while balancing this with the constraints of time and resources necessary to achieve our goals. I am committed to these goals because I highly value education and I want to ensure that every Radnor student has an exceptional Radnor education.”

“I am running to serve on the Radnor School Board for a third term because at this time of unprecedented challenges, institutional knowledge and continuity in leadership provides stability for the organization. I have navigated what is uncharted educational territory and feel confident I can continue to provide a calm and steady dedication to doing what is best for our students. I love giving back to my community and nothing is more important to me than supporting the best possible educational outcomes for each and every Radnor child.”

“I am running for a second board term because I appreciate how much of a learning curve there is with school board governance and that district continuity and stability is perhaps a less apparent but very critical component of student success. Much of the work I have done over the past four years has been on the Board Curriculum Committee where I have had a chance to integrate my professional training and experience in educational research into the decision making we do as district leaders to ensure that a Radnor education remains one of the best available in Pennsylvania. I am encouraged by Radnor’s ongoing innovation that we’ve been championing and will continue to set the bar high for the educational outcomes we generate for each and every student.”
